Anthony J. Wilkinson and Daniel Robinson will lead the cast of the return engagement of My Big Gay Italian Wedding. The comedy heads back to off-Broadway’s St. Luke’s Theatre beginning November 3. Sonia Blangiardo will direct the production.
Wilkinson and Robinson will star as the two grooms in question, Anthony Pinnunziato and Andrew Polinski, whose same-sex marriage invites a whole host of larger-than-life gay and Italian characters. Joining the duo are recording artists Kim Sozzi and Judy Torres (alternating as Aunt Toniann) and an ensemble that includes Brett Douglas, Donna Castellano, Joe Scanio, Meridith Cullen, Justin Flexen, Liz Gerecitano, Meagan Robar, Tommaso Antico, Michael Gellert, Erik Ransom, Chad Kessler, Paul Moon and Leah Gerstel.
After a successful run in 2003 at the Actor's Playhouse, My Big Gay Italian Wedding transferred to off-Broadway’s St. Luke’s Theatre on May 22, 2010. The show ran through August 20, 2011 and featured appearances by many reality TV stars including Lance Bass, Tabatha Coffey, Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo and Reichen Lehmkuhl.
